Right now, it’s 2013.
Unbelievable.
Ten years ago, it was 2003.
It’s math!
The last ten years have flown by fast, and boy are my arms tired!
Ten years passing means that my graduate school college loan payments are half-way done.
This also means that, out of the last ten years, three of them were spent using my Master’s degree, of which, only half is paid for.
So really, this is a cautionary tale to anyone out there who thinks going to graduate school is a good idea. Because ten years from now, you’ll look back and realize you spent tens of thousands of dollars on a degree to start a career doing what you thought was your dream. But really, your dream was to stay at home and pretend to be a housewife.
Now, I’m living the dream of staying home, pretending to be a housewife, all with a pretty “M.A.” after my name when I want to look flamboyant, and $350 poorer each month.

I spent an unknown amount in cash on a bachelor’s degree that took 7 years to obtain and I’ve never used it. At least I don’t have the monthly reminder of a loan payment to that effect.
My hope for future generations? That they don’t spend tens of thousands of dollars before coming to these revelations. (I, too, discovered SAHM was my happy place.)

I think I did it backwards. Half assed college, worked for 18 years, then was a stay at home/traveling hose wife. And we see how that turned out. So I’m back in college. Hmm.
And I hate someone took my sign later that night, that was my best BlogHer swag ever! I also totally forgot about all those pictures I took until I looked in iPhoto after i saw this, LOL!
