It’s Day 2 of Ship Kids Off To Gramma’s For Two Weeks!, and the only thing I’ve accomplished so far is that I’m living up to my name: a whole lot of nothing.
Day 1 was a lost cause because I spent 8 hours driving them to meet my mom 1/2 way to make the kid switch.
Day 3 is when I will do all the things!
Day 4 I fly to Washington DC on behalf of Nintendo and Brand About Town to learn about the new WiiU. I’m apparently going to be eating chili with María at Ben’s Chili Bowl. Also, we may or may not be making a quick visit to see Mr. Obama. Fair warning, Mrs. Obama.
Day 5 I fly home.
Days 6 & 7 will be spent doing things with Patrick while he’s home from work that hopefully include adult-only activities.
Days 8-10 is when I will do all the things I inevitably didn’t do on Day 3.
Day 11 I will fly to NYC for BlogHer ’12.
Days 12-13 I will hug thousands of pretty necks and drink hundreds of pretty drinks.
Day 14 I will fly home in the wee hours of the night, coming home to children tucked in their beds after they make the 6-hour drive home with Patrick.
Day 15 I will rue the day! I sat here and did a whole lot of nothing while no one begged me for gum or donuts or take them to the pool or wonder aloud why all I do is play on the computer all day.
