Dogbrowing: A Certain Je Ne Sais Quoi

in All About Me,And Then Some,Friends,Pictures

I like to think of myself as one of those people who would drop everything for a friend.

As long as that “drop everything” doesn’t mean getting off my ass and putting forth effort, I’m your girl. What I’m saying is, I’m really good at doing things for people that involves doing it from my lappytop. Sainthood is clearly in my future.

So when the people whom I consider a friend do things that involve getting off their asses and doing something for me, I’m truly touched.

Yesterday, my lovely friend, shaunaglenn, wrote a post about leaving Deviled Eggs out in her living room and accusing everyone but herself for the stinky mess. One of those she accused was her dad’s dog, Ginger.

But the sweet, sweet plaine-faced mutt shaunaglenn so brazenly fingered for her own mistake needed a makeover.

I asked shaunaglenn to draw some eyebrows on the sweet, sweet mutt’s furry face, purely for my twisted amusement.

She came through for me, because she is an amazing friend:

It’s the simple things we do in the name of friendship that make me weep with gratitude.

Let’s make Dogbrowing the new Planking.

I think it gives my 15-year-old Beagle a certain…je ne sais quoi and totally distracts your eyes from the enormous old-dog mole on her face.

Huh. Something about your dog reminds me of Joan Crawford. Can’t quite put my finger on what it is… Oh right, I think it might be the drag queen brows.

I’m fairly sure my dude would eat my face off if I tried to pull this on him. I think it’s worth the risk.

If only I had friends who were willing to makeover my pups. How truly blessed you are…and I agree, it totally takes away from the dog mole.

It’s the art of distraction. I do it with my flabby belly.
