Doing Actual Stuff

The last 8 months have been the hardest of my life.  You can suckit if you don’t like that I’m being cryptic.

The next 8 months will be the antithesis of the last 8. Mr Sir and I have made up our minds to actually do stuff other than roaming Target for funsies. Cause I can only look at random kids’ books, coloring books, movies, & toys so many times before my skin turns a bright shade of fluorescent yellow.

Actual stuff. With actual people. And maybe we’ll even drive more than 15 minutes to get there.

Woah.

* We are attending 2 weddings in April. One of the weddings being my sister-in-law‘s wedding in which Mr Sir will be walking his sister down the aisle. The other one is Mr Sir’s cousin’s wedding on the beach. Both weddings I need a dress for. Me & dresses don’t mix. Dear, Jeebus, Help me find a purty dress that doesn’t make me look pregnant. I know it’s hard, but just this one time, please let the fashion gods reign down over me. Twice. Loves, Me

* My baby turns 5 in July. FIVE. She starts Kindergarten in August. KINDERGARTEN. In the words of Rachel Zoe: I die. Bananas.

* I’m going on a Disney cruise with my mom and my girls in May. suckitNomming on Honey

* Mr Sir and I WILL HAVE a weekend alone. This must be done. Dunno when or where or how but it will be done.

* I’m going to BlogHer in July. Must buy my plane tix. I will be rubbin up HARD on some lots of lovely ladies and greeting cordially some mens. Will you be one?

It seemed like a lot more activities in my wee brain, but I’m sure we’ll be doing more like seeing real live manatees in real live springs, shopping at a Farmer’s Market, and having a photo shoot of my girls on the beach.

While we dance through the next 8 months, we’ll be nomming on a ridiculous amount of honey from a straw.

And the whole time, I’ll have my arm around Mr Sir’s waist while he grabs my ass.

Lucky both your weddings just require a dress! I’m going to Sikh wedding soon, and none of the usual cocktail dresses will suffice! Bare arms, shoulders, and legs are out of the question, as is showing a strand of hair! I’m terrified of wearing something that will be culturally insensitive!

If you’re not into dresses or skirts, at the last wedding I went to a few of the girls wore dress suits. Maybe you could rock that??

I would certainly love to be one of the men you cordially greet this coming July. I will be available for cordial greeting – and, for those that are willing, some major hugging – because I am all about the hugs, ya know?
