That’s what I’ll say after you read this post.
Yesterday I posted that I was feeling sick and my face was imploding. 24 hours later, my face isn’t imploding, and I feel well-rested. What? Well-rested after a night and day of sickness???
That’s because I have the greatest husband in the world.
Don’t start throwing up. Yet.
Because I loves me a list, here’s what HockeyMan did for me today:
*Let me sleep in until 12:45. Yup. PM. I haven’t slept that late in forever. When I finally sat up to get up, I thought it was 11, but it was almost 1! Ahhhh…. sleep… I also love NyQuil. I remember taking NyQuil when I was a kid and barely making it to my bed, but now, with this whole decrease in alcohol, it’s just not the same. I digress…
*He took the girls out of the house on a “field trip” to the park and grocery store without me asking. Yes, he went grocery shopping and bought real food.
*He brought me back Gatorade, new Reese’s 100 calorie snack packs (yum), and bakery cake. You know I loooove baked goods!
*NaNa asked to get me flowers and picked out some just for me. Isn’t that the best?
*He didn’t complain ONCE that I just sat around all day blowing my nose and sitting on the computer.
*He made me and the girls a dinner of yummy grilled cheese.
*He moved some laundry. Ahhh… Now I’ll have clothes to wear tomorrow!
*He got the girls ready for bed.
Now, HANDS OFF MY MAN. You can throw up now.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
UPDATE: I am feeling better and thanks for all of your well wishes, but now the girls have it. My poor (almost) 2yo has been on the couch with a fever ALL day sleeping.

I’m really good at swallowing the puke when I throw up in my mouth a little. You’re lucky because I hate cleaning puke off the carpet.
Hockeyman ROCKS!!!
I’m glad the rest and chillin’ did you good, friend!

Yay Patrick! I’m glad you’re feeling better.

Wow, can I borrow him the next time I’m sick? LOL
[Reply to this sucka]
Nice going training him!!! Feel better!
[Reply to this sucka]
Not to brag….but your hubby sounds a lot like mine…except for the hockey stuff….Carlos isn’t really a sports man!

You lucky girl, you! My SnoreMan reminds me of your HockeyMan. Good in a crisis and willing to lend a helping hand when needed.
Hope you keep feeling better!!

Does he have a brother?
[Reply to this sucka]
Hey, mine is almost as well trained as yours is. Mine just can’t keep a schedule, keeps waking me up to ask what time everyone has to be where, even though I wrote it down for him.

Ahh, that’s so great! My man is coming around, but not quite as advanced as yours. I’ll keep him though - give him a another year and he’ll be there.:)

Man, and I was thinking the samething about my husband until this. Now, I think he needs to work even harder!
[Reply to this sucka]
Wow. Well done, Hockeyman! (And I’m so glad you’re feeling better!)

No thanks required. All I was doing was spending some quality time with our girls. I had a much better day than Angie even though my bronchitis moved from my chest into my sinuses. I’ll take the snifflis over hacking ANY day! Let’s Go Islanders!!! I am hockeyman

I’m glad you’re feeling better! I feel for your daughter, my toddler is sick too and it’s killing me.

What a man, what a man, what a mighty good man (Salt n Pepa sining in background). You are quite lucky. My hubby brought me a glass of OJ when I was sick….I thought I was a Queen that day : )

So glad you feel better. Great husband, my will do that if and I said IF I am dying. Sorry the babies are sick now. Hope they get to feeling better real soon, for their sakes and yours.

I will absolutely not throw up. That is what hubbies are supposed to do when we are sick. Isn’t that what us moms do every time a kid, fish, dog, cat, or hubby get’s sick? Glad you’re better.

What a sweetie!

No wonder you feel better! Grilled cheese AND moved some laundry. A keeper for sure!
[Reply to this sucka]
Sweet. Glad you feel better. Hope the little one feels better by now. (I know I’m late on this…)

It is so great when men realize that emptying the dishwasher and moving laundry can really be the biggest turn on ever! My husband is never sexier than when he has food from my 16 month old smeared all over his shoulder and he’s picking up toys! God bless the men who get that! So much cheaper than a dozen roses and works much better!

I was just thinking… my husband was really smart for Mother’s Day this year… instead of buying me cut flowers, he and the boys got me a rose bush! I repotted it and put it on the front porch next to the door. All summer long they gave me fresh roses! I think at one time I had something like 5 dozen roses on it! Every once in a while he really gets it right!
