I have an idea to make money, but [fill in the blank] gets in the way.

Whoever said this whole making money in the new social media way of the internets was easy is smoking some good serious weed.

I’m not good at policing myself and staying on task. Just ask my dirty floors and piles of unfolded laundry.

Actually, while you’re talking to my floors and laundry, can you ask them to take care of themselves? I’ve raised my girls to the point that they can wipe their own asses and pick out their own clothes, so why can’t these much less evolved inanimate objects fend for themselves?

I digress.

Building an empire takes time apparently. Not that I really want an Empire, cause really, when someone gets any sort of fame and/or success, people just try to tear them down with their jealousness anyways. I can’t deal with people talking about me in any other way than, “Holy crap, did you hear the Awesome stuff Angie is doing these days?” or “OH EM GEE, did you see that adorable dress Angie was wearing? She looks SO hot!” And if you’re saying these things about me behind my back, can you tell them to me to my face? I could use a dose of positive feedback for which to boost my self-esteem lately.

I digress. Again.

My email signature line is growing, and no, that’s not a bad thing, but really, it’s a time-management thing. I’m not good at that part of the “making money online” part of working. Just ask my mom. She’s the one who bought me that video back in high school about getting myself organized. The only thing that really stuck with me was to make a list at the start of my day of everything that needs to get done.

Do you know that I’ve never made a list of the things that need to get done in my day? Ever.

I’m thinking this is the main problem with my get-rich-quick-on-the-internet scheme.

Focus. Planning. Action.

I’ll get to that right after this old episode of True Life is over.

Sigh. It’s so hard to try and become an entity, isn’t it? If it’s any concellation, I also have zero organizational skills, and I think you’re pretty a-okay.
You know, in my books.
Which, aren’t really all that organized either. 🙂

I think I have your same organizational issues.

Why can’t I just win the lottery and pay someone to organize things for me?

If only being funny alone could be such a big money maker! You crack me up. Not that I get much traffic, but I have your store button on my blog. I’ll always support an aspiring Mama….

I am a list maker. I even made list in the intensive care unit. But I find that these kids are a huge time suck for me. Maybe I should make a list on how to get them out of my hair.

HA! HA! I love True Life anything! And OMG, Teen Mom and Jersey Shore, the greatest, LOL 🙂 I’ve gotten out of watching the Real World anything. But I still watch more MTV than any adult should. I think it’s a gift and doesn’t make me childish in anyway.

I need to wake up and make a list of what I need to do everyday as well… I need to, not that I have or anything. I tend to not make lists because if I put something on paper, I HAVE TO do it! So, if I don’t put it on paper, I don’t have to do it. But that isn’t working out for my laundry and dirty floors. *sigh* I want a maid. Just one! I don’t need a whole bunch like some famous person, nope! Just one. Just one little ol’ maid. I will start holding my breath… now! LOL

Oh, man, my mom bought me that video, too. I need to make money, too. It follows that this video is responsible for our inability to get organized and make money.
I love blaming my parents for everything.

I make a list (ok, well not everyday, but every once in a while lol) but then I just misplace it and find it at the end of the day. By then it is too late to do anything on the list and I just throw it away. lol

Oh, and if anyone figures out how to get their floors to clean themselves and laundry to do itself, I would really really really like to know! 🙂

So…I did start the making a list thing. Not a daily list but when it comes time to pay bills or really get things done. I feel like it’s a great way, for scatter-brains as myself, to stay focused. Sometimes when I’m holding on to an old list long enough, I start to transfer old things to do to the new list.

Are you snoring over there yet? Being organized is one of those things that has helped me get my geek-ism on. And it’s sexy. Rawr.
