I really don’t know what to think about all the “plastics” controversy. I tend to be an optimist with pessimistic tendencies, so I believe the best in people and things with hesitation. I’d like to think that the government protects us and our children from the hidden dangers found in food and products, but with the current *ahem* administration, my faith is all but gone. Recently, the plastics and lead controversies have entered my house and business. I have just added two safe products to my store: The Safe Sippy Cup and Green to Grow BPA-Free Bottles.
I’m not really writing for shameless self-promotion; I really do want to know the attraction that people have that makes them beg and plead to get these bottles.
Are the bottles and cups I use with my girls really going to give them cancer, stunt their growth, and lower their IQ? What and whom should I believe?
I’m so confused.
What do you think?
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I honestly try not to think about it, I could give myself an ulcer. I hope for the best expect the worst and get on with my day.
Pretty helpful, huh?
Well, Payton had Thomas the Train stuff as a toddler and chewed on it all of the time and he’s perfectly normal.
Bwahahahaha!
No seriously, I think there is some bigger picture to all of this that we just can’t see yet. Perhaps it will force it us to question the over-consumerism attitude we have as a nation. The number of toys my kids have? gack! Is that really what it’s all about…cheap toys? Or perhaps we’ll begin to value American made again, regardless if it cost $5 more than a Chinese product? O
I also think a lot of it is media hype too. Remember back in the 80’s when apples would give you cancer because of some pesticide they were treated with? Then it turned out you had to eat like 15 apples a day for 3 years to get enough in you to cause cancer.
There’s a bigger picture for sure.
I have lost faith in our government protecting us as well. As far as promoting items that aren’t going to poison our kids, go for it!
I clicked over from a link that showed up in the blogrush widget on my blog, www.advice-for-parents.com, and have spent the last half hour laughing until my stomach hurt. Thanks, I needed that!
I love your writing. Count me in as a new subscriber. Which of those links on the side is your business? Sorry if I’m missing something obvious - it’s probably because I’m delirious from all the laughter.

I was just thinking about that as I put on my Secret the other day. I also wanted to attribute my 10 yrs old puberty to milk, but she hates it and doesn’t drink much.
Eh, you know what they say. “Eat healthy, exercise, and die anyway.” I don’t have time to worry about everything that could you kill you. I’m too busy scraping gum off my couch.
