Painfully obsessed. Honestly fucked up.
Eva and Gideon are so messed up, it’s at times heart-wrenching and at other times heart-warming to read about them together. They admit to their own co-dependent obsession to one another, but that doesn’t stop them from acting on every whim, feeling, and self-protective bone in their bodies.
Oh, and they bone a lot.
Reflected In You: A Crossfire Novel by Sylvia Day
**NO SPOILERS BELOW. CROSS MY HEART.**
Reflected In You, Sylvia Day’s follow-up book to the insanely popular, Bared To You, comes out on October 2nd. If you’ve read Bared, you’ve probably had the date circled in your calendar with puffy hearts decorating the day. If you haven’t yet read Bared, you’re so lucky to have these two books out together so you don’t have to go through the agonizing wait for Reflected.
Aside from the warm-in-my-bits sex scenes, the continuing story of Eva and Gideon made me want to throw my hands up in the air and demand they both get over their shit. I’m continuously thanking my lucky stars that my fuckedupedness doesn’t make me as high-maintenance as these two sexpots. There’s no way I could survive an obsession with another person like Eva or Gideon. But at least they have one another.
[My love] was fragile. It needed to be nurtured in order to thrive and grow.
Reading the following line summed up the entire book for me, and when you read it, you’ll totally get it. )Or maybe you’ll get it just from having read Bared. Or maybe you just get Gideon enough to get this meaning.):
“He said it has to be this way. I don’t even know what that means.”
Get it. Read it. Obsess over it.
Entwined In You, the 3rd Crossfire novel, is scheduled to be released on December 31, 2012, and you better believe that day is decorated with glitter and hearts and googly eyes on my calendar.
I love you, Sylvia Day, and I don’t want to quit you.
