This llama is the most famous llama in all of the World of Llamas. He lives at the Affection Section of Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Disney World inside of Animal Kingdom. If you’re lucky, he’ll let you pet him. On the day we made friends, he had a little something caught in his teeth. It happens to the best of us.
Naturally, he’s my new best friend, and I’m making him my muse.

Dusty the Llama was the model for Disney’s The Emperor’s New Groove. He was totally unaffected by my own celebrity, but I guess that’s tit-for-tat because his movie is one of the few Disney movies I’ve never seen.
I’m thinking the animators were high on opiates when they drew Kuzco because THIS llama…

doesn’t look like this one.

But how can you not love a special llama who has to rotate his head and neck 360 degrees before he can turn around?

We used to have a llama–Larry–to keep a pony company. He spit a lot, but then again, so do ballplayers and baseball’s my first love.
I’m partial to goats, but this llama does look like something special. Perhaps that’s just why he’s a star…

He’s my special new friend.
You really need to see the movie… it’s totally funny and cute, like your llama Dusty.
Oh, and “HI” by the way!
I thought I’d throw an extra comment on your post, because I saw on Twitter that you needed more lovin’!

“I’m thinking the animators were high on opiates when they drew Kuzco”
That’s assuming that animators are sometimes not high on opiates, which (if you’ve known any animators) is a stretch.

Good point.
I’ve never known an animator, though I did date an artist in high school. I think he might have been too young for opiates yet, but I’d bet he’s into them now.
Llama’s scare me. Kind of. They’re just… kind of weird?
Weird and they spit. Llamas are like 75% of people on the internet. That’s why I love them.
Check him out looking at you all doe eyed and mushy. I think that hay-toothed boy was in lerve with you.

He totally fell for me.
Llama’s are cute, but have you ever seen an alpaca? MUUCCHH cuter!
I’ve only seen alpaca on commercials. I have a friend who put all of her investments into alpaca and not the stock market. True story.
Alpacas are waaaaaayyyyy cuter. They’re little itty bitty llamas with all the ‘tude, but smaller poop. At least that’s what I’ve been told.
Plus their fur is heaven to knit with. I worship at the Church of Craft. Feel free to judge!
So awesome, I love llamas. I like alpacas too, but llamas pretty much rule. A llama once tried to eat my wedding rings. I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with my son and my fingers had swollen to the point I couldn’t comfortably wear my rings. I had them on a chain around my neck. We took our daughter to pumpkin farm/petting zoo and they had llamas. I was trying to pet one of them when it dipped it’s head and nipped at my necklace. It cracked me up. Llama likes bling!
