Orlando sucks only because I can’t find the scenery below in MY backyard.
My backyard is full of mud, clay, dead grass, and ONE friggin tree. ONE. Our yard is so small, we need a goat instead of a lawnmower, but the goat would probably starve.
I was just up in Charlotte, NC, for the first time for a family tragedy. But out of the tragedy, I found some of the most beautiful nature in my cousin’s backyard.
Seriously? This stuff is is within 1 MILE of her house. I am SO FRIGGIN’ jealous of the HILLS and CREEKS and REAL BOULDERS and GREEN GRASS and TREES. Orlando SUCKS.
In my section of razed land and scrub trees and dirt, this stuff is unimaginable.
I’m considering moving - I even found this house. The price is INSANE. Mama likes. UH LOT.
Does anyone want to buy an overpriced house with no yard in Orlando? (Can you say, “real estate bubble?”) If so, I’ll sell so I can move.
Friggin Orlando.
So our physical yard is not so big….we have Shamu, Spiderman, and Mickey Mouse in our back yard after the 45 minute drive.
Besides, I don’t like that kitchen… Orlando is great except for the lack of a hockey team!

Ah….dogwoods…I miss those… I grew up in Atlanta, and springtime in the South really can’t be beat, can it? Charlotte is particularly gorgeous. There are lots of other places in the country with four seasons, but honestly, I can’t think of anyplace I’ve ever been that had a better springtime. In my ideal universe, I would live in N.C. for spring, in a house on the ocean for summer, in Vermont for fall, and in Colorado for winter. Do you know anyone who makes houses with built-in teleporters?

Oh that scenery is almost making me want to move there!
I can’t wait until everything starts turning green and blooming here.
Keep in mind that big yard = a ton more work… I’m almost missing our little postage-stamp sized yard from our previous house…

Both of my dogwoods are in full bloom, I can see them from the front door. My phlox is bloomin, the mums are coming out and green, the peonies already have a bud or two. Jealous, don’t be, we are getting a hard freeze here tonite!!!! Oh, how I wish Alabama would make up its mind, winter or summer.

Spring hasn’t quite sprung here in Ohio, but it’s coming and I can’t wait!! I don’t like it here, but I wouldn’t want to live in Florida either. If it wasn’t for all our family, I think we’d move out west.

Well I grew up in Florida and I happen to think it is a beautiful state but in a totally different way. I remember going on trips to North Carolina and Tennessee growing up and being jealous of all the trees. Now, I live up north and am freezing my butt off most of the year and I HATE snow. So I would totally trade places with you. When you are feeling like everything sucks around you, just wait until March and call one of your friends up north (that still has snow on the ground) and tell her about having drinks at the pool. That will make you feel better. (My dad likes to do this to me)

You’ll hate me. I’ve got most of that stuff in my back yard, too. Some of it literally. They call New Jersey “The Garden State” for a reason. It’s not just the Turnpike (although I always thought it was, until my damn husband forced me to move here)
