There are two important things I learned in preparation for this post: Lands’ End Chinos fit me like a glove and I have no clue how to pose for a photo.
I am clearly not a model like my friend Brittany. I never know where to put my hands, how to hold my arms, or which angle will make my wide shoulders look not-so-wide. It took my cousin, Ashley, about 50 shots to get this one that I like. Plus there were no less than a bazillian bees buzzing around in that bush behind me, so forgive the scared look in my eyes. I did, however, remember to pop my Booty Tooch (big ups, Tyra) so my butt looked decent.
Even with my lack of modeling skills, these chinos look damn fine on me.
When I say that these Lands’ End Chinos fit me like a glove, I really mean in the best way possible. Not in the snug-in-all-the-wrong-places or too-loose-in-others way, but in a very comfortable, very oh-my-heck-my-size-fits-me kind of way. I didn’t even have to order a size up to placate my self esteem.
I ordered my exact size. In pants. Mail-ordered. And they fit.
*cue the angels singing on high*
Friends, this never happens. And I think they look cute on me. My sister, Jackie, convinced me to get the un-boring green color, and I’m thinking she was right to suggest them.
Green is totally slimming, right?

These are really awesome pants and if you say you mail ordered your size and they fit like that, then maybe, just maybe, I’ll try a pair. I am so afraid of colored pants. I like them so much but years of wearing only black and brown have made me anxious about color. But between you, Meredith and Brittany, y’all look FINE in those chinos.

The green is awesome and is a great fall color (even though it won’t cool off for us until probably January).
I had the same problem with the posing/modeling. I took so many photos and when I look at them I still feel like I look like a dork.

I was poring over my LE catalog last night trying to decide which style pants to order. My post-Baby Gus body does not resemble my post-Baby Lily body or any body I’ve ever had. I have no clue how to dress myself anymore. Has Jackie ever been to Seattle? It’s lovely this time of year and I could use some shopping help!
Unfortunately, she doesn’t dress me either. She just suggests a few things here and there and sometimes tells me I have no fashion sense (which is true).
