RIP Moose And Zee

by Angie [A Whole Lot of Nothing] on March 13, 2012

in Kiddos,TV,WTF?

Guys.

I’m so depressed.

Even though my girls are 6 & 7 and past the Nick Jr NOGGIN target age, they were raised on Moose and Zee.

Stupid Nickelodeon gave the pair the axe and sent them on their way.

Jerks.

I’ll take an hour of Moose and Zee clips ANYTIME over any of that damn Big Time Rush band and Fred The Movie, which is officially banned in my house.

…pouring one out for my homies…

I like them more than 90% of the characters on Nick Jr.

I sorta feel like I’m losing a friend. A friend that won’t stop singing cheery little diddies in my head, all day and all night. If they’re going to be replaced by the Fresh Beat Band, we’re all in trouble.

I’d like for FBB to leave public life.

I pine for the days of Moose and Zee. And Miffy. A what was that guy that was really a hand with eyeballs? Oobie? He loved me–or so he said.

Stoopid teen bands.

The more I think about it…

I’m changing my name to Moose A. Moose.

I miss them too. We didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye. If I had known they were leaving, I would have DVRed more NickJr. This new stuff they have replacing them is total crap.

The Fred movies are honestly one of the most annoying things ever. That guy’s voice… OMG. I can’t even handle it.

I had noticed that they were absent these days, but didn’t know it was permanent. I’m so sad! They were awesome and my kids loved them too! And no – Fred (in any form) is not allowed in my house either. My son asked if we could watch his show and I gave him a resounding, “NO!”.

It’s like the disappearance of Looney Tunes (the real ones) and Tom and Jerry (the old ones).

I am just as distraught as my son, he was born with cortical dysplasia and autism. The only character that would pull him out of anything is Moose. We would turn on Nick Jr at 25 past the hour just to see Moose! Nickelodeon just bitch slapped us all! Hey let’s get rid of the loveable educational shorts to advertise math kits and our shows oh and let’s start a Nick Mom channel instead of preschool on TV. EPIC FAIL and I hope your quarterly reports SUCK! You are ignoring the consumers and without us you don’t have (insert bad word)!

Please bring back Moose and Zee!!!! The old format “Like Preschool on TV” was truly the best. My son loved watching Moose and Zee and I didn’t mind him watching Nick Jr. because I believed this channel was SO educational. He (and I) loved all the cute little poems and ditties that Moose sang about re seasons and holidays and manners, etc. Where is Jack’s Big Music Show and Laurie Berkner? What happened to all the songs in between i.e., Little Birdie by Bob Marley and My Family by the Roots? Why would you ruin such a good thing???? WHY? Now, I have a 19 month old daughter and feel she’s missing out on such a happy and educational learning experience! PLEASE COME BACK!!!
