Giving away the gay.

I’m gay

friendly.

I love the gays, I am a little bit gay, and I think I may have a wee gay man trapped inside of me.

The fact that people who happen to be gay cannot get married (nearly everywhere in the US) or adopt children (in Florida) angers me.

I bought this shirt, and I got one free with it.

SCORE!

So, I’m giving it away. It’s a brand new purple American Apparel XL men’s t-shirt that looks just like this one (gay not included):

Leave a comment by Monday, June 28, at 11:59pm EST letting me know how gay (happy &/or homo) you are, and I’ll pick a winner at random on Tuesday.

(If you don’t want to win, but you still want to leave a comment because you love me, just say “keep your gay shirt to yourself!” or something in the comment letting me know.)

Yeah for gay!

Wii™ and Wii Fit™ Plus Giveaway

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

**UPDATE**

Congrats to the winner, Jennifer Jozwiak!

You know how when you work at something day after day, night after night, foregoing precious time with yourself family, just to reach that final goal you’ve set for yourself?

That’s how I feel about the opportunity I have to offer you the best giveaway known to mankind I’ve ever hosted. After years of slaving away at this laptop, building relationships, and making up stuff developing my voice, I’ve been given the chance to work with one of the most renowned companies in the world: Nintendo.

To be honest, I’m not much of a gamer. There are a few games I like to play, but in general, my idea of fun centers around inactivity in front of the TV rather than being actively engaged.

Until the Wii™ came along.

My inactivity levels were forced to decline. I had to actually get off my butt to play a video game. I really do remember the first time I saw a Wii™ and how to play a Wii™. I felt it would change the way home entertainment would be seen. Being active. Playing a video game. weird.

We were those people who searched and scoured and begged/pleaded/fought for a Wii after they were released onto the retail shelves. After literally months of waiting for our Wii™ system, we finally brought our baby it home and were immediately mesmerized. ACTION in FRONT of the TV.

And then? The Wii Fit™. Oh. My. Golly. Even MORE action in front of the TV? And playing fitness games will help me lose weight? (I swear the Wii™ gets more action than other things around here.) SOLD!

Just this past Fall, Nintendo released a new edition of Wii Fit called Wii Fit™ Plus. (P.S. I received a copy of the new Wii Fit™ Plus software in exchange for telling you about its awesomeness.) They’ve added to the core of the activities to make them better, more efficient, and more engaging. With tailored routines, you can plan your workout to make the most of your time. For someone like me, that’s incredibly motivating. That, and my girls pestering me to “play the board game!” every afternoon.

Here’s the reason you stopped by. (It’s ok, I know it’s not all about me. It’s about the free stuff.)

GIVEAWAY

Nintendo has given me a Wii™ system (MSRP $199) AND a Wii Fit™ Plus (MSRP $99) and I am going to give them away to one lucky winner.

I know. More than Awesome.

Nearly $300 worth of Awesome.

To enter, leave one (1) comment below letting me know what time in your day will be dedicated to getting fit with your new Wii Fit™ Plus.

Simple. Easy, peasy, chicken cheesy.

Entries will be open through Saturday April, 3rd, at 11:59pm EST. Only US residents 18 years of age and older are eligible to win. Nintendo employees are not eligible to win.

The winner will be selected at random using a random identifier selector to choose from eligible comments left for the duration of the giveaway. The winner will be notified via email by me and will have to confidentially provide their home address, telephone number, and email address. The prize will be shipped within 2 weeks.

This giveaway and blog post has been approved by Nintendo and is posted at the request of Nintendo and Brand About Town.

Disclosure: I received a Wii Fit™ Plus game in exchange for hosting this giveaway, as well as the Wii™ and the Wii Fit™ Plus game to give away.

I need you. Every one of YOU.

I’m not trying to get all *sad panda* up in this joint.

But I do want to be authentic and honest and I need to ask for your help.

I wrote a novel-&-a-half over at my Good for the Kids blog about the struggles I’m having with my business. It was really hard to write and even harder now to share.

I know you’re thinking, “Why, prey tell, Angie, sweetums, hotness, are you sharing your novel-&-a-half of Awesome nuggets?”

“Because, honey pie, sugar tits, Awesome reader o’mine, I need your help.”

Basically, this is me down on my knees… *ahem* …asking you to help me.

Plus, to get your attention, I’m doing a giveaway.

Please… go read. I need you. Every one of YOU.
