Patrick’s BFF got married this past weekend.

The groomsmen were all very dapper in their seersucker suits and matching bowties.

Patrick looked especially dapper with his freshly shorn hair. BACK OFF, BITCHES.

Look how dignified they all look up there for the ceremony! A good looking group of mens, I must say.

The couple’s first dance was lovely and loving.

Such a good looking pair of dapper men!

Sangria and Rum Punch was served with straws in Mason Jars at the lakeside wedding.

Just be warned that when you serve Rum Punch by the Mason Jar-full, dance moves like this end up happening:

I met Patrick back in the mid 90s when Hootie & the Blowfish was on repeat in the restaurant where we worked. We were both 18 and just out of high school. Apparently, he watched me from afar for about a year before he got up the nerve to ask me out on a real date. I’d been asked out on a real date exactly one time before he asked me. It’s not that I didn’t have boyfriends *ahem* they just didn’t ask me out on real dates.

He was lucky that I had made a mental note that day that I needed to expand my dating pool in order to find better guys. The ones I’d been “dating” were more of the temporary variety, and I was ready for stability.

I was lucky I said yes to his invitation to go out.

He was a short, skinny 18-year-old waiter with a very cute face.

I was a short, skinny 18-year-old hostess with a hot pair of legs.

We were pretty much a match made in future heaven.

He was nice, he liked me, I knew it, and never doubted it.

He asked me to marry him inside Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom when we were way too young to be engaged. I said yes, shaking and happy and nervous.

We were married a year (or two?) later in my parent’s backyard in front of about 100 friends and family in the middle of feeder bands from Hurricane Georges in 1998.

We were both 22, me just barely, 9 days after my 22nd birthday.

We were way too young.

It’s worked; we are the lucky ones.

Nearly 15 years together.

And HOLY CRAP we need to get better photos of us together. We look way cuter as child brides.

It takes something pretty shocking to make my jaw drop. When you’ve been around the internets as much as I have, you’ve seen it all. So seeing something new and shocking is a day-maker.

My hot n’ sexy internet girlfriend, Jenny Grace, sent me a link to may be one of the most shocking sites I’ve seen in months, and that’s saying a lot. Plus the fact that this is totally safe for work, and it’s still THAT shocking? That, my friendlies, is very hard to find.

Triply awesome is that I grew up in a town where Mullet (the fish) is celebrated in an annual festival where Billy Ray Cyrus got his start, Natural Light is a food group, and hearing the hunting dogs howling in the woods is a normal Friday night, and I’ve NEVER seen this.

Patrick & his sister, Chrissy, during the traditional Father-Daughter Dance
Patrick stepped in to serve the role of the bride’s father by walking her down the aisle and at the reception. It was incredibly emotional for everyone at the wedding, especially Chrissy.
I’ve never been more proud to be married to him.

At the Altar
Anna & Claire were the flower girls, and Claire made it up to the altar, but had to step down. Anna was a really trooper and stuck it out the whole ceremony.
