I recently read from a magazine interview with Emma Watson where she said she was asked by reporters if her short hair cut was her way of coming out of the closet.
“I had journalists asking me if this meant I was coming out, if I was a lesbian now.” She rolls her eyes. “That haircut did make me realise how subjective everyone’s opinion is. Some people were crazy for it and some people just thought I’d lost my shit. All I can do is follow my instincts, because I’ll never please everyone.” – Independent
You know, because short hair means a woman is gay?
I’m sad for society.
In my sadness for society, I created a few new gay hairstyles for me. And I have to say, I look pretty good as a lesbian.
If I were to cut my hair really short, straighten it, and dye it brown with some high- and low-lights, you’d get a questionably gay me with Emma Watson’s hairdo.

Here’s me as the very gay Ellen Degeneres.

And me with the fiery red hair of lesbian Cynthia Nixon.

And me with the (obviously) closeted Michelle Williams short hair cut.

And because I couldn’t stop at just white-girl closeted lesbian hair, I tried on Viola Davis’ hair.

Obviously, closeted gay women can have longer hair, because Oprah hides behind her luscious locks.

I’m totally gay for Rob Pattinson, so I had to try on his hair.

Now I’m considering jumping on the gay bandwagon because short hair is so much easier to maintain than the 2-feet-long straight-girl mop on my head.

Hmmm….. on you I’m gonna go with the Williams or the Nixon. However, with your natural curls I think you would have to spend hours getting and keeping it straight every day. So consider that before jumping on any bandwagon.
I’d have a Justin Timberlake circa N*Sync fro.
If I had the face shape for it I would totally be a lesbian then! I have always been so jealous of people who can pull off that look.
Excellent post!

I love the short ‘do on women with the right shaped face, which I apparently do not have.
Gotta go with the red. Sassy!
If only I were actually changing my hair.
I’d make out with you. You know. If I were a lesbian too.

Consider it done. You know, if we really were lesbians.
The time it took you to photoshop all those strands out… I’m in awe.

DAMMIT. Next time.
Whoa! Angie You make a smoking hot red head!
I think the red is my favorite, too.
Well done pictures!
Seriously? I don’t remember anyone thinking Halle Berry was gay when she had short hair. What the heck is wrong with society? I cannot believe journalists asked her if her short hair meant she was gay. *shaking my head*

Of these choices, I like the Watson or Nixon best on you. However, if I had long, curly locks, there’s no way I’d cut them. You, friend, are lucky.
