Once again, I’m using my evil powers for good.
If I were to actually do a search of my past blog posts rather than just be too lazy to search, I’d suspect I’ve started upwards of at least 10 posts with that line or one similar. Clearly, I have conflicting feelings about A) my actual powers, and 2) that I have the power to turn evil into good. And if I’m being honest here, as I always am, using my powers, either for good or evil, have nearly nothing to do with my best friendship with famed artist and children’s book author, Todd Parr.
Our friendship is relatively new and one that hasn’t yet been consummated with a face-to-face meeting. But in the World of the Internet, meeting in person isn’t necessary to formulate lifelong friendship bonds. The occasional email, Facebook comment, and odd Twitter discussion is enough for us to be best friends.
Plus, Todd Parr sends me signed copies his books, complete with his artistry on the envelope. There are two ways to worm your way into my heart: creating art from my face as your muse and sending me shipments of brownies. Todd chose the former, and now I have my own personalized portrait done by the hand of my best friend.
Am I the luckiest girl in the land? YOU BETCHA.
Like the above-referenced laziness, if I were to go back and search my archives for posts I’ve written about underwear, the search results would probably number in the hundreds. Or tens. From my admission to wearing granny panties to my interest in finding hospital-grade mesh underwear, underclothing is a frequent topic for this here blog.
So when my BFF Todd Parr offered to send me my very own signed copy of his book, The Underwear Book, what do you think I said?
HECK YEAH, BFF TODD PARR!
Being the super nice guy that he seems to be, a package of TWO copies of The Underwear Book, complete with my face hand-drawn by one Todd Parr, arrived in my mailbox shortly after. Claire got her grubby miniature hands on one of the books, disappeared into her room to giggle over the photos, and I haven’t seen the book since.
But the second signed copy of The Underwear Book by Todd Parr is meant for one of YOU. BFF Todd Parr trusted me with a second signed copy of his book to gift to one of my precious readers.
Aren’t we the luckiest blog readers in all the land? HELLS-TO-THE-YES!

Well today is my birthday, and I love you AND Todd Parr.
Angie/Todd for President, 2016! When it comes down to it, it’s all just about underwear in the end (no pun intended….okay, well maybe intended).
Todd Parr is rad. Maybe I even love him for sharing his hippie message of peace and love to all the childrens. Mine included. But you? Are, as previously declared by me, awesomesauce on toast AND a bag of chips.

I love you AND Todd Parr! The Family Book is a regular at our house. Also, it’s impossible to send you shipments of brownies without being a stalker and asking for your address. And even then, would you eat randomly mailed brownies? I think this warrants an in-person meeting.
My kids’ heads will explode with joy when they find out that their beloved Todd Parr wrote a book about underwear. This blog post is the perfect storm of awesome – you AND Todd Parr? So amazeballs.
I Love Todd Parr and the way he teaches tolerance and acceptance in such a fun and colorful way.
