There’s No Such Thing As Too Much TV Until It’s Too Much

in All About Me,TV

I don’t have the words to express how much this someecards speaks about my soul.

I’m tense because I have too much recorded TV to watch.

I live for seeing teeny red light lit on the front the DVR then having that 2-3 second pause after pressing the “list” button on the remote before showing me the glory of what’s waiting for me.

Real Housewives of Somewhere, The Good Wife, Real Housewives of Somewhere Else, 5 new House Hunters International, this week’s HBO documentary, and a new MTV’s True Life all await me.

When the children are at school, the husband is at work, and the DVR is ready, it’s the best feeling in the world, save for kid birthing, spouse marrying, and the like.

But the anxiety of wondering if will I have the time to watch it all before my time alone is over?

There’s nothing better.

It’s like you read my mind. That’s how I’m feeling right now. And most of the stuff I have to watch is stuff I just can’t watch in front of my two-year-old, like Dexter, Homeland, Shameless, House of Lies, Family Guy, and Taboo.

Oh my gosh, I’m a TV junkie, and I just admitted it to the whole internet.

This year more than ever, I’m worried about how much tv I watch.

My boyfriend and I are trying to catch up on It’s Always Sunny In Philidelphia, and he’s catching up on Modern Family (which I’m up to date on). We also watch The Big Bang Theory and Once Upon A Time. Along with the rest of my family we watch Criminal Minds and Republc of Doyle (a great, comedic drama set in my hometown). That doesn’t include all the Toronto Maple Leafs games we try and catch (would that count as a tv show…? On my own I watch Grimm, and yesterday my Dad and I sat down and watched the first two episodes of Alcatraz, which I may also be hooked on now.

When someone says “have you seen this show yet?” I just plug my ears at this point.
