And his sore throat is severe and not showing signs of going away. He finally went to the ER today (Sunday) to check for strep. His throat was really red, but negative on the strep test. The dr. said it is so bad that it could still turn into strep? Never heard of that...but sounds like your situation! They gave him an Rx...maybe it will help...hopefully it will help...sick husbands are much worse than sick kids sometimes! I have had a sore throat, laryngitis, cough, and stuffy nose for 14 days!! Did I mention my throat hurt??? And No I don't have strep. They checked! Nothings helps it. I want my chocolate bar but i won't enjoy it's chocolately goodness now. So I have been waiting 14 long days and counting to be able to eat it!!! I hope you feel better!!! I know how that feels.
