Time-Out Dolls
Every proper crafter has these creepy monstrosities in their house, hanging out in the corner, waiting for you, the unsuspecting visitor, to walk in to the room and get FREAKED THE FUCK OUT that a kid is in ‘time-out’ in a kidless household.

P.S. I’m totally not stealing from Craftastrophe cause they’re all just crafts. And they’re WAY better than I could ever hope to be. And I know Sam & Karen would release the three wolves on me for stealing, but I’m totally not. Cause mullet haircuts will be next weeks subject. So, there. Neener.
Of note: Heather and Meghan said I should do this, and I listen to the voices in my computer. If it doesn’t work out, I blame them.

lol, you totally get extra geek points for the Three Wolves shirt reference.
Those dolls freak me out because when I turn them around THEY HAVE NO FACE. Which makes me think of this Amazing Stories movie where a girl had her whole entire mouth taken away from her, and that was like the scariest thing I ever saw when I was a kid. Like, scarier than Large Marge in Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. Argh, NO FACE. NOT OK.

So do these creepy dolls have a face?! Oh, I just read another comment that says they don’t. That’s so weird. Well, the doll could be one way to scare your kids into behaving. “You better watch it before I take out the Time Out Doll!”

To answer Heather’s question, her hands are in front of her face, covering her eyes because she’s “crying”. Unfortunately I’m totally serious, because my mom had one of these dolls for a while. TOTALLY CREEPY.
My idea for your next one?
Those garden “ornaments” that are wooden cutouts of a woman bending over to garden, with her big butt (and visible panties) in the air.

You are so right about the butt women. It’s even worse when they have the little creepy dude next to her with his hand on her ass. I try to block those images from my mind.
I have seen those butt garden women and can attest for their creepiness. And next up after that, the people who dress their stone geese in their gardens!

Every single house in Utah has these in them. It is why I moved away 10 years ago. I couldn’t take the nightmares of thousands of no-face dolls invading my house.

i’m sure i couldn’t live in Utah for many other reasons than the dolls, but that’s high on the list.
These dolls are frightening on so many levels…I mean, why on earth does someone without children feel the need to punish faceless children? And why must these imaginary children suffer penetance for all time??? YOU THERE – Yeah you…you darned naughty, mute, not-moving doll – get your ass to the corner and stay there…foooorrreeeeevvvverrrrrrr. MWAH-AH-AH-AH! *shiver*
Oh – and for the next one (sorry to continue the doll theme) but I’d go with Christmas dolls – the kind that move/wave candles/sing some Christmas carol in a warped and terrifying voice – my stepmother has one of these and one year my stepsister and I removed the candle and replaced it with a knife covered in red candle wax…she didn’t even notice until New Year’s. Sad.

a friend of mine has these all over her house in most of the corners. She uses her kids’ old clothes to make them, and they creep me out! Thank you for bringing to light what should have been at least 15 years ago!
