Falling asleep is a luxury to a parent with young children. Staying asleep for longer than 4 hours at a clip is blissful.
Falling asleep with a pee diaper in my face is normal.

Falling asleep with a pee diaper in my face, a teeny tiny knee in my ribs, a sippy cup full of water leaking on my sheets, an itty bitty hand slapping my face, and my HockeyMan snoring/laughing/talking/tickling under the influence of Ambien is my nightly routine.

Wow, they should write a parents book out of this post. It’s Dr. Seuss for parents…
I hope you get some rest.

I agree, you should write a parents book. I am glad I am past that stage. I am on the “OH I have the bed to myself now that hubby has gone to work, no 8 year old climbs in, she is small she won’t take up much room, no wait she stretches out and takes over the bed forcing me to crawl out of my nice warm bed and move to the lumpy, cold couch” stage. I hope you get some rest soon.

Having the kids in bed at a reasonable time - Moderately Normal
Having the kids in bed all night long without a 3:00 A.M. check of the closets - Pretty Exciting
Having a full night without the dogs farting up the bedroom - PRICELESS!

Too funny — I had to send this to my hubby. The other night I woke in a start to find neither of our sons in our bed and almost panicked, wondering what was wrong!
