As a Republican and a McCain voter; damn. Well, maybe in 2012. Either way (McCain or Obama) change was needed out of this current administration. McCain wasn’t like Bush, not as much as people said.
Now, as for Obama, I hope these next 4 years go smoothly. It really does say a lot about our country when a half black/white man with a middle name of Hussein can get elected in this country. What does it mean? It means that finally our country has grown beyond racism and fear. It means that no matter /who/ you are, your dream can be fulfilled if you work hard enough at it and stay true to yourself.
So while my candidate didn’t get elected, that doesn’t mean I won’t stand behind our new president. The election is over, the choice has been made and now is the time to bring American back into the top, work together to fix our problems and unite as one nation, undivided.
I’m not a very religious person, in fact I find religion itself to be a fallacy as in my opinion it was always supposed to be an ideal and not a practice, but I did get a kick outta how much of the ‘White Evangelical’ vote Obama got.
Hehe, that’s a cool picture!
